Mark Rodgers

Mark has been with The Sports Animal since 1997 and began his career on Sportstalk 1340 covering recruiting and fetching Copenhagen for “The Ultimate”. Mark founded the Oklahoma Pigskin Preview in 1995, an annual, dedicated to covering high school football in the state. Rodgers has traveled to every high school football-playing school in the state and has broadcast, attended or played in over 125 different venues in Oklahoma.  

Mark enjoys all things Oklahoma, with an affinity for local food and beverages. His pursuit of worthless knowledge includes golf, pinball, sports and music trivia. The show’s hotline is always open to discuss Man Laws, Bigfoot, alien life or music.  

Mark is a lifelong fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. He believes the first two days of the NCAA basketball tournament are the best sports days of the year. His favorite sports trips have been the Masters, Final Fours and any football road trips in the SEC or the Big 12.  

Mark’s son Jack is a Norman North graduate and currently a sophomore at the University of Oklahoma.
